Upland Nutrition ("we," "us") provides general fitness and nutrition education for healthy adults. Everything we publish, including our website, emails, social media posts, free guides, the Starter Kit, the membership, workout programs, meal plans, supplement information and community content, is for educational and informational purposes only.
Not medical advice
Our content is not medical advice and is not a substitute for advice, diagnosis or treatment from your physician, pharmacist, registered dietitian or other qualified health professional. Using our content does not create a doctor–patient, dietitian–client, or personal trainer–client relationship. We do not provide individualized medical, nutrition or training advice.
Talk to your doctor first
Check with your doctor before starting any exercise program, changing your diet, or taking any supplement, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; are taking any prescription medication (including GLP-1 medications); have or have had heart disease, high or low blood pressure, diabetes, kidney or liver disease, osteoporosis or low bone density, a balance problem or history of falls, joint problems, an eating disorder, or any other medical condition; or have recently had surgery or an injury.
Medications and peptides
We do not prescribe, sell, source, recommend or provide dosing information for any medication, compounded drug or peptide, and nothing we publish should be read as suggesting that you start, stop or change any medication. Questions about your medication, including GLP-1 medications, belong with your prescriber or pharmacist. Do not use our content to make decisions about your medication.
Supplements
Any information about dietary supplements is educational. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) does not approve dietary supplements for safety or effectiveness before they are sold. Supplements are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking any supplement, since some can interact with medications or health conditions.
Exercise involves risk
Physical activity carries a risk of injury, and in rare cases serious harm. By choosing to follow any workout, you agree that you do so voluntarily and at your own risk, that you are responsible for exercising within your own limits, using safe equipment and a safe space, and that you will modify or skip any exercise that doesn't feel right for you.
Stop immediately and seek medical help if you feel chest pain or pressure, severe shortness of breath, dizziness, lightheadedness or faintness, an irregular heartbeat, or sharp or sudden pain. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call 911. If you can't keep food or fluids down, or have severe or ongoing nausea, vomiting or diarrhea, contact your doctor.
